Thanks for the emails questions yesterday. I'll answer the main three here. Also? I'm glad to know I'm not the only person in the world who paints my walls white, on purpose. Or runs from furry spiders. Or hates Hotel California. Let's all start a club.
1. What is the paint color in your kitchen?

2. Where did you find your light fixture?
We found it online at World Market here, and spray painted it white.
3. Where do you find your vintage plates?
Anywhere, and everywhere. That is not the answer anyone wants to hear. Wouldn't it be great if there was an online "vintage plate" outlet where everything was awesome and under $5? And we could just get a collection of awesomeness in one swipe? And if there could also be a "Anthropologie Knock-Off" emporium that would also be awesome.
I've been collecting plates slowly for the past ten years. Some of them came from road trips, vacations, and the local Goodwill. Not all vintage plates are created equal, so I tend to be a little bit picky. It just takes time and patience. But one day, after years of hoarding things like a mad woman, your collection will come together and you'll rub your hands together and laugh like this:
"Mwuhahahahaha..."
Yes, you will sound a little bit like a Disney villain, but that's ok. You've earned it. And besides, I've always thought Disney villains were having a much better time than everybody else.
